Okay, 2 nights ago, I happened to be looking through my f-list and lo and behold, I see a story that promised insane things.

potteresque_ire's Eggplant Parmesan had a warning that included MZS (Makes Zero Sense), angst, drama, character death...you'd think I'd never touch it with a ten-foot pole and then....

Summary(abbrev): A shopping cart romance between Eggplant!Draco and Tomato!Harry ... Dark. Angsty. Totally. *nods*

After seeing that, I really had to read it and the rest was history. It's hilarious and witty and in the end, I WIBBLED INSIDE FOR A PIECE OF VEGETATION!!! XD So fantastic and fun and yet bizarrely moving! You just really need to go and give it a read!

And with that said, I present something that I did in response to this wonderful story. It probably won't make much sense/have as much impact if you haven't read the story though...so you should go read! XD

One Little Peep

5:44am: Last Pimping for a while, I think! An Albus/Scorpius Fest!!!
I love the Next Gen kids (hence, my choice to join up with Team Epilogue for the hd_worldcup)!

And so, I'm very pleased to announce a brand spanking *snicker* new Albus/Scorpius fest that is going to happen this Spring! The community is the_ass_fest (or rather, AS/S) and sign-ups start next month!





These are the Dates for it!
Sign-ups: the 1st of February - the 15th of February
Assignments sent: by the 28th of February
Submission deadline: the 15th of May
Posting starts: the 1st of June.

Although I don't have the time at the moment to participate in this or other fests, I do think this particular fest is going to be really awesome! So, if you love Albus and Scorpius and moreover, if you love them together, you should join the fest!!! *flails and cheers everyone on*

Summary: For the holidays, Harry loves to bake and he attempts to show his lover why. Draco, being Draco, takes the lesson into his own hands...

9:02pm: Holiday Art Post: A New Year of Discovery (HD, kids, PG-13)
AHAHAHA! HAPPY NEW YEAR'S, EVERYONE! This is the second year in a row that I'm trying to kick off the New Year with a HD pic and it seems a wonderful tradition to keep! XD

Now, before we begin...

The facts (in my head) that lead up to the picture:
- It's Epilogue compliant but the men are already both divorced.
- Harry and Draco are dating but their children don't know yet. Well, Scorpius, being the astute child that he is, suspects and tries his hardest not to think about it.
- This is the first New Year's that the Potter and Malfoy families (sans ex-wives) are celebrating together.
- Just before the picture, Harry and Draco have snuck off to do a bit of their own celebrating.
- The children (well, the Potter children) are curious as to where their father has disappeared to (because it either just turned to midnight or it's almost there).

Heeee! I love any excuse to draw the boys in Quidditch gear, doncha know. I'm also very excited to be participating in the fest (if I can get on a team!). Hopefully, I'm not overextending myself, given that I'll also be participating in the Big Bang HD and perhaps the Animagus Fest over at hd_inspired.

In the past, I have never participated in gift-exchange fests so this year was quite a bit of something different for me! I'm very much used to working on something on the behalf of another but it's definitely a novel sensation to have something written/drawn/done for me in return! I realized that I haven't even shared them so here I go! All the fics listed below are H/D! I am the first to admit that my comments on each link is really short/non-existent but I'm putting these here because I enjoyed them! If I've missed some, shame on me!

But I did complete my hd_holidays submission and I really hope my person will like it! Now I'll be able to focus on other projects! But go over to the community right now because so many fantastic fics are being posted there and there will be much more to come!!! *is very excited*

I also wanted to thank everyone who sent me birthday wishes! Thank you so much! I'm really touched and happy! I had lots of pizza and cake and I wanted to give a little something back you you guys as well. So I drew this a bit quickly. The idea came because I had a lot of cake and something tells me Harry would be the kind to overindulge as well! XD

- My hd_holidays submission artwork. I'm telling you, it will be good! I swear it! Because I'm enjoying it...well, at least, I hope it'll be good! *flails*

- Turkey Dinner! I had turkey (and practically everything else) duty this year but it went okay. *nom nom nom*

- Video games, especially: Super Mario Galaxy and Mass Effect. I play the second player in the first game and I just like watching my bro play the second one.

- People who comment on my stuff! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I know my record of responding is really spotty at best but I wanted people to know I really appreciate you taking the time to sit down and write a response! *hugs and snuggles*

- Basically everything. Life is decent, good friends, good food, and plenty of distractions!

3:18am: HD Recs (which I know I so rarely do!) and other fandom-ish things.
For those of you HD fans here who are partial to a little *gasp* mpreg, I want to direct your attention to hd_inspired's Mpreg Fest! There is a new post every day until the fest has run its course and the stories are all really very fantastic! I'm really glad to have completed my submission for this fest. I just need to get the next one for hd_holidays done fairly soon too! *faceplants*

And some other HD recs (since I so very rarely do them):

- Anything, and I mean anything, written by lomonaaeren. For the past couple of months, I have been devouring everything this author has written and if you haven't ever read any of Lomonaaeren's stuff before, you need to do so as soon as you can. And I suggest a nice long stretch of time if you're going to embark (no other word for it) on one of the epic stories. And the one-shots are always well-thought out and good!!! *wants to read again*

- A new Chapter of Arrangement Fic, by rurounihime!!! *dances with glee*

In other news:

- I am so feeling the love for Avatar, it's not even funny. In fact, my PMX badge art is of Kataang, I'm so tickled!
- I confess to playing Xbox 360's "Naruto: Rise of the Ninja" and I have to say it's really really fantastic, other than the English dub *shudders* and the ergonomically incorrect controllers (so very ill-suited for button-mashing fighting, which is just about all I can do). My wrists and forearms hurt!

Hey, everybody! Yaoi Con 2007 is about to occur this weekend and I'm looking forward to attending if the fires raging across So Cal die down (preferably to disappear completely). I'm extremely grateful my home is out of harm's way (crosses her fingers).

I will be heading up with Chief and we'll be taking in the sights and I will be satisfying my juvenile curiosity! XD

- Hopefully, I got all the typos out. A special shout out to Ru for catching that mistake for me! However, the title is not a typo (it was deliberately spelled that way).

- Instead of working on various projects with looming deadlines...I drew next gen comic. *faceplants* This was suppose to be a quick little comic because it was a quick little sketch...totally didn't happen that way. *snorts*
- Albus and Scorpius were really fun to draw. Sort of like drawing HD and yet not. Since they look so like their fathers, it's easy to start the sketching, but they're different from their dads too and that makes for a different dynamic.
- I kept humming that one song "Why Can't We Be Friends" all throughout the making of this thing. *laughs* Other songs that would belong to this pairing: "Just the Two of Us" and "Call Me Al".
- Be prepared to do some scrolling, as this comic is a bit on the long side, horizontally speaking.
